Privacy Statement

Seb's Autoreiniging respects your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains which personal data we use, why we use it and what choices you have.

1. Who processes your data?

Seb's Autoreiniging is responsible for processing your personal data.

2. What data do we use?

Through the contact form, we receive the information you enter yourself, such as your name, email address, subject and message.

For an appointment, we may also ask for your phone number and address so that we can schedule the appointment and clean your car at the correct location. We only ask for the information needed for this purpose.

If you consent, we also use your email address and the date of your last car cleaning to send Seb a reminder around six weeks later. Seb may then contact you himself.

For photo consent, we record whether and when you gave or withdrew consent, the channel through which it was recorded and the wording you agreed to. If Seb records a later change, we also keep his internal note about it.

We do not intend to collect special-category personal data. Please therefore do not include sensitive information in the contact form.

3. What do we use your data for?

  • To answer your question.
  • To arrange an appointment, prepare a quote, or provide car-cleaning services.
  • To contact you about your question or appointment.
  • If you provide separate consent, to send Seb a reminder around six weeks after your last car cleaning so that he can contact you himself.
  • To maintain our administration and meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your data for other unsolicited advertising and do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Why may we use your data?

We use your data to answer your question and arrange your appointment or provide the agreed service, because this is necessary to provide our services at your request.

For the reminder to Seb around six weeks after your last car cleaning, we ask for your separate and voluntary consent in advance. Seb will then contact you himself. You can easily withdraw that consent at any time. You can also make an appointment without giving this consent.

When we must retain data to comply with a legal obligation, we do so on the basis of that obligation.

For photos and other uses that are not necessary to carry out your appointment, we ask for your consent in advance. This consent is voluntary and separate from your appointment.

5. Photos for our work and social media

During or after a car cleaning, Seb's Autoreiniging may take before-and-after photos of the vehicle. These photos may be used to showcase the work on this website and/or on social media.

We do not show licence plates, faces, addresses or other private information. We obscure personal or identifying information before publishing a photo.

When making an appointment, you can give separate consent for this using a checkbox. This checkbox is off by default. You can also make an appointment without giving this consent.

You can withdraw your consent later. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew your consent. We will then remove or anonymise published photos as soon as reasonably possible.

6. Who do we share your data with?

Your data is shared only when necessary to operate the website, contact form, appointments or administration. This may include our hosting, email and technical service providers. They may use your data only to provide the services we contracted them for.

Photos for which you gave consent may appear on the website and Seb's Autoreiniging's social media channels. We do not publish licence plates or private information.

7. Address selection and route calculation with Google

When you search for an address in the appointment form, Google receives the text you enter and the location you select from the suggestions. Google uses this data to show address suggestions and calculate the driving distance from Seb's fixed starting point.

For a confirmed appointment, we keep only the Google-verified address and calculated distance needed for the appointment and price estimate. We do not retain search history, coordinates or Google's full response.

8. Website analytics with Plausible

We use Plausible Analytics to view general visitor statistics, such as which pages are popular. Plausible does not use cookies or create persistent identifiers and is designed not to track or profile visitors personally.

The statistics are aggregated. We do not use Plausible to analyse your name, email address, phone number or address.

9. How long do we keep your data?

We do not retain contact and appointment details longer than necessary for the purpose for which we received them. Data that we must keep longer for our administration or a legal obligation is retained for as long as that obligation applies.

If you consent to a reminder for Seb, we retain your email address and the date of your last car cleaning for as long as needed to send Seb the reminder and handle any follow-up. After you withdraw your consent or when the data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

We keep the record of your consent to photos and any withdrawal for as long as needed to demonstrate the choice you made and correctly honour that choice.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. The retention period applies differently to published photos: after you withdraw your consent, we remove or anonymise them as soon as reasonably possible.

10. What are your rights?

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data or restrict its processing. In certain situations, you can also object to the processing or ask to have your data transferred.

For processing based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, contact us at [email protected]. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity.

We normally respond to your request within one month. If a request is complex, this period may be extended under the GDPR. We will inform you if this happens.

11. Making a complaint

Do you have a question or complaint about how we handle your data? Please contact us first so that we can look into it.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (DPA):
